"Sky" (CH Sunburst Dawn's Red Sky) just recently turned two years old. He is well on his way to his Grand Championship with 21 points, including 4 majors and 6 events defeating a Champion earned in just two weekends of shows.

"Pablo" (Ch Sunburst's Picasso's Cube) has updated pictures. This outstanding black male is now four years old.


GCH SUNBURST'S PATENT PENDING (Edison) won Best of Breed and went on to a Group 3 at the Tri-Star Kennel Club show in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, October 16th. The judge for the Breed and the Group was Mr. Steve Hayden. "Edison" is always shown by breeder/owner Harvey Kent.

CH Sunburst's Patent Pending completed his AKC Grand Championship on Thursday, September 2, at the Lexington Kennel Club Show in Lexington, Kentucky when he won Best of Breed under Judge Joan Beech.
The Grand Champion program was just begun by the American Kennel Club on May 12th of this year.
CH SUNBURST'S PATENT PENDING (Edison) won Best of Breed both days at the Crab Orchard Kennel Club Shows in Marion, IL on Saturday, August 7th and Sunday, August 8th. The breed judges were Jon R Cole on Saturday and Roger Hartinger on Sunday.
On Saturday, under Group Judge Paula Hartinger, Edison recieved a Group 3! Edison is always Breeder/Owner/Handled by Harvey Kent.

In the early 80s the Chow Chow Club, Inc. established the Register of Merit program to recognize dogs and bitches that consistently produced quality offspring. Included are progeny that complete championships, obedience or tracking titles, gain OFA certification, as well as place in the group, go Best in Show or Best in Specialty Show, or place in the Top Ten Chow Chows for the year. There are many ways to earn points in addition to those mentioned.
In order for a Dog to qualify for the Register of Merit they must have a minimum of eight different progeny of which at least four must be AKC Champions of record which combined earn a minimum of one hundred (100) points.

"Sky" (Sunburst Dawn's Red Sky) made his debut at the Chow Chow Fanciers of Atlanta Specialty show the first of February. In his first two weekends of showing, he has already won Winners Dog three times and six points towards his championship.

CH SUNBURST'S PATENT PENDING ("Edison") received Best of Breed on Saturday, August 1 under Judge Peggy Haas and Sunday, August 2, under Judge Carol Jean Nelson at the Crab Orchard Kennel Club Shows in Marion, IL.
Edison recieved a GROUP I under Judge Joe Gregory on Saturday, August 1st! Edison is shown by Owner/Breeder/Handler Harvey Kent.
CH SUNBURST'S PATENT PENDING received a GROUP 4 at the Southern Indiana KC show on Sunday, May 31st under judge Roger Hartinger. This weekend was his first time back in the show ring after receiving an AWARD OF MERIT at the CHOW CHOW CLUB, INC NATIONAL SPECIALTY SHOW in Orlando, FL in April.
